I'm going to do the Holy Isle swim again
« on: June 13, 2007, 01:54:50 PM »
After last years success in the 1.3 mile swim across the sea from Holy Isle to Lamlash on the Isle of Arran, I have decided to do it again!

This year I am aiming to go sub 30 minutes. Training will be harder since I live in the city now and not right next to the beach! I think as long as I manage a few swims with the wetsuit on I should be ok. I am starting to build up my training regime now, so that I will be more than capable of handling the distance  :)

At least twice a week, I shall do a 3.5km and a 4km swim with smaller sessions inbetween to work on technique and speed. I will let you know how it goes!
Fajja.

well didn't quite make it sub 30minutes thanks to my rather scenic toute to lamlash pier which added on at least 3/4 of a mile!!

this year though....this year.

well due to work commitments and interviews, I have been doing no where near enough swimming!! It will certainly be intersting to see how I get on this year
