Calories?

Someone at work asked how many calories I burn in a session at the pool...the truth is I dont have clue!? How many calories do you reckon you could burn in a fairly intensive training session? covering about 3Km in an hour long session...

Without knowing your age & what sort of intensive training (according to you}What was the warm up?Mine is 1500.Was it male or female who asked about calories?If it's a she or a he depending on YOUR prefefrence,ithink you have been offered a date. :-X

well i am 23, and it was when i was training with the uni team, so it was pretty intensive :P 3km was for sprint work. nowadays i am more likely to do 4 or 5km in a session. sadly i dont think she was interested in dating me  :embarassed:

i usually swim 3k+ in an hour at a steady pace non stop. it would be interesting to know how many calories i burn during the swim. i will have to research it on t'internet :)

Doesnt that depend on the body's metabolic rate, the height and weight? So it greatly varies from person to person.

Its the calculations to work out all your calorie usage. It was produced for the army triathlon team so you may find it useful.
