One thing I've never been able to grasp is why there is no huge hype over swimming events here in the UK? In the US you'll get thousands of people turning up for inter-university competitions. Australian swimmers are given celebrity style status too!

The UK does have the swimmers, I think theres just not enough of a hype to push some to go that extra mile to achieve greatness? If you get what I mean. If there was more bigger head to heads iit could be good for swimming as a whole I think.
