Just stick to a low sugar, high proteins diet. Your muscles will be working hard during swimming so the protein will be necessary. Try some light weight training, and make sure you are not swimming in warm water. You will feel the difference instantly.

For sure, to create a calorie deficit in body by burning more calories through exercises. Starving or dieting is definitely not recommended. And this being a swim forum I'd definitely recommend the sport as a very good way of losing weight. The effort required moving in the water helps you burn more calories than other methods in the same prescribed time.

Try eating 5 or 6 meals a day but smaller ones and try to reduce the amount of bread and potato you eat. Also make sure your heart rate is raised for a while in your training every day because when you stop training your metabolic rate stays high for a while cos this will burn off fats even after your on your way home.

Do physical exercises as much as you can, try to stop junk food and eat vegetables.

I prefer walking in the morning, reducing oily and junk food, physical exercising and adding vegetables to your daily meals.

some ideas to lose weight.

1.After breakfast, make water your primary drink
2.Carry a palm-size notebook everywhere you go for one week- Write down every single morsel that enters your lips — even water. Studies have found that people who maintain food diaries wind up eating about 15 percent less food than those who don’t.
3.Eat five or six small meals or snacks a day instead of three large meals.
4.Walk for 45 minutes a day
5.Find an online weight-loss buddy
6.Downsize your dinner plates

Stop eating much and try to sweat in many ways you know because all the fat comes out in sweat.
